Community Fellowship Church of the Nazarene in Waynesboro is an official host site. You can place your order in person or online. All of the information about ordering and the menus are on their website (click the link to go straight to the site).

Thanksgiving Meal

Calvary UMC will have a Thanksgiving Lunch on Thursday November 26th from 12:00-2:00pm. This will be a big, family style meal and all are invited to attend. Please feel free to invite church members or people in the community who don't have a place to go on Thanksgiving. If anyone in your church would like to help in preparations, we always welcome help and especially extra cooks! Contact Rev. Kristin with questions at 337-2980.

Small Group Lunches

One of the goals that we have discussed in this group is to connect as pastors in the community. To this end, an idea that came out of our last meeting is for each of us who were present to invite three or four other pastors in the community to have lunch together. These small group lunches will give us an opportunity to get to know one another a little better and to share some of the possibilities for working together.

What a blessing it is to work together in the Kingdom of God!

Our meetings are over between 10 and 10:15, so that we can plan accordingly.

School Supply Giveaway

Stuarts Draft Baptist Church is having a school supply giveaway on Sat. August 15th from 9:00am-12:00pm. They will be offering school supplies, gently used clothing, haircuts, and presentations from local agencies such as the Office on Youth, AMC, and Comfort Care for Women.

This is a fantastic way to provide for folks in our community who cannot afford to get their children and youth ready for school.

They welcome donations of school supplies (school supplies lists for any school in the county are available at Wal-Mart), monetary donations, new or gently-used clothing size 5 - large, volunteers for either August 15 or helping to set-up one evening prior to August 15, and additional hairdressers to provide children haircuts on Aug. 15.

Any supplies, clothing, monetary donations need to be dropped off at the Stuarts Draft Baptist church office by Monday August 10.

Anyone wanting to volunteer in any way needs to let Rosemary Sparks know by August 10.
